Privacy Policy

This page explains what MyTribute collects, why, and what choices you have. We operate under South Africa's POPIA and similar laws in markets we serve (UAE, UK, AU, CA).
1. What we collect
- Account info (name, email, phone) you provide at signup.
- Contacts you import for sending funeral notifications.
- Tribute content (photos, service details, messages) that families publish on their memorial page.
- Usage data (pages viewed, links clicked) used to improve the product.
2. How we use it
To deliver notifications (WhatsApp, SMS, email), publish memorial pages, process payments, and provide support. We do not sell your data.
3. Who we share with
Only the processors needed to run the service: AWS (hosting), Cloudinary (media), SendGrid / AWS SES (email), Wassenger (WhatsApp), and payment gateways (PayFast, Ozow).
4. Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time from your settings or by emailing privacy@mytribute.me.
5. Retention
Memorial pages are kept indefinitely by default — that's the point. You can request removal at any time.
